Veno SL® 300
Many people suffer from tired, heavy legs, especially in the evenings after a long day.
Sometimes, every step hurts because of water retention and the only thing that helps is to sit down and put your feet up. If spider veins also appear, they are an indication of the existence of a venous disease, which can even lead to varicose veins. The clearly visible blood vessels are a nuisance for women, especially during the “short skirt season”. But so that it does not even get that far, Veno SL® 300 prevents the accumulation of fluids in your tissue and stimulates circulation in your veins.
Veno SL® 300 for venous insufficiency and spider veins
The most common cause of venous insufficiency is prolonged standing and sitting. Unfortunately, that is often hard to avoid: people working in a shop are on their feet all day, anyone with a desk job sits in front of a monitor for hours on end. Also, heat, travelling and long car journeys present difficult conditions for your venous system. You can make it easier for your legs with Veno SL® 300, because it
- prevents the accumulation of fluids in your tissue
- improves the fluidity of your blood
- helps against swollen, heavy legs
- protects your legs against the formation of spider veins
The active ingredient it contains, Troxerutin, strengthens your veins and stabilises fine, increasingly brittle blood vessels, which can quickly develop into spider veins.
How does a venous disorder develop?
Vein problems are much more widespread throughout the population than many people think. People who often suffer from heavy, swollen legs could already have a venous disorder without knowing it. Healthy veins have no problem transporting fluids upwards from the legs towards the heart. If venous insufficiency is present, however, blood increasingly accumulates in your legs. The high pressure causes water to penetrate your tissue and leads to swelling in your legs and feet. Over time, that can lead to permanent damage of your blood vessels.
The muscle pump plays a significant role here, as it pumps blood against gravity. When your calf muscles contract, your veins are pressed together and the oxygen-poor blood is squeezed upwards. The venous valves are responsible for preventing the blood which has been pumped upwards from dropping back down again. Prolonged sitting or standing and a general lack of activity bring this removal mechanism to a stop. Your legs swell up and as a result, unsightly webs of blood vessels form which are clearly visible through your skin, the dreaded spider veins.
How does Veno SL® 300 work?
Veno SL® 300 bestows your legs with more lightness, thanks to the vein-strengthening effect of Troxerutin. Troxerutin is a plant-based active ingredient which is extracted from a substance from the Japanese Pagoda Tree, and which has helpful properties against venous disorders.
The active ingredient Troxerutin
- supports the walls of your veins
- facilitates tissue drainage
- improves circulation
Veno SL® 300 thereby brings about the “sealing” of your vessels, so that the fluids can be better conveyed out of your legs and do not collect in your tissue.
How does Veno SL® 300 used?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, adults take one capsule of Veno SL® 300 3 times per day at meal times, swallowed whole with plenty to drink. If necessary, the dosage can be increased to 2 capsules 3 times per day.
Your doctor can also adjust the dosage if the effect is too weak or too strong. Veno SL® 300 can be taken for several weeks or months, depending on the course of the disease and the recommendation of your doctor.

What is Troxerutin?
Troxerutin is a semi-synthetic manufactured derivative of the natural substance rutoside. This flavonoid is present in many (even indigenous) plants, but is mainly extracted industrially from the Japanese Pagoda Tree, which is native to Japan and China. Troxerutin is transposed into an easily water-soluble substance by the hydroxyethylation of phenol groups. Troxerutin is reabsorbed by the gastrointestinal tract better than rutoside is.
What is Veno SL® 300 and for what is it used?
Veno SL® 300 is a medicine containing the active ingredient Troxerutin. Veno SL® 300 counteracts the formation of oedema (oedema protective agent), improves the fluidity of blood and is used as a supportive treatment for the accumulation of fluid in tissue (exudative processes) and for stabilising fine, increasingly brittle blood vessels (capillary fragility).
Where can I buy Veno SL® 300? Is it obtainable without a prescription?
Veno SL® 300 is an over-the-counter drug which is only available in a pharmacy.
